Content Body

For the second time since being adopted on Aug. 6, 2001, the compliance date of new repair-station rules will be postponed–this time to on or about January 30 next year. The original effective date of April 6 was pushed to October 3 at the request of several trade organizations, including the National Air Transportation Association. One key reason for the continued delay is that an accompanying advisory circular that spells out how contract maintenance is to be handled under the new rules has yet to be published.
