Citation 500 RVSM Package Delayed

Honeywell projects it will receive certification of an RVSM-compliance package for early Cessna Citation 500s by the end of October, a delay of about four months. Honeywell attributes the postponement to deciding to expand the package to include Citations with both OEM and non-OEM mods, such as the Long Wing and Eagle modified Citations. The full package will consist of two AM-250 altimeter/air-data computers, a KFC 325 autopilot and a two-display EFIS 50. It has an uninstalled price of $250,000. Installations will be available from Honeywell- and Cessna-authorized service centers.
