Universal Expands European Services

Universal Weather & Aviation announced new flight services for European customers at EBACE. On June 1 Universal opened its new European operations center at London Stansted Airport to serve operators traveling within ICAO E and L country codes in Europe. This will eliminate the need to telephone Universal’s corporate headquarters in Houston, for flight services within those countries. Beginning next month, operators will be able to use Universal’s Route Availability Document compilation of the routing restrictions and preferred route segments within the European ATC environment through Uvflightplanner.com. Universal will be able to download daily changes from Brussels into the Uvflightplanner.com database, allowing an accuracy rate “in the high-90s-percent range.”
