Cessna 208B Caravan, Port Alberni, British Columbia, Jan. 21, 2006–According to Canadian Transportation Safety Board investigators, the crash of a Caravan apparently was a result of engine problems. There is no evidence to suggest icing contributed to the accident.

The pilot and two passengers were killed, and five other passengers were injured when the International Express Aircharter flight lost power and hit trees as the pilot attempted a forced landing on a logging road. He had tried to glide to Port Alberni Airport but came down 11 miles away. The flight had left Toffino, British Columbia, 16 minutes earlier.
