Chelton EFIS Certified in Bell and Eurocopter Models

Chelton Flight Systems has received FAA STC approval to install its FlightLogic synthetic-vision EFIS in several models of the Eurocopter AS 350 AStar and AS 355 TwinStar and the Bell 407. Already available on more than 600 types of rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft, FlightLogic incorporates the first commercial application of forward-looking synthetic vision with GPS wide area augmentation system (WAAS) capability, in addition to class-B helicopter terrain alert and warning system (TAWS) and highway-in-the-sky (HITS) navigation technology.
