Meggitt Digital Autopilot Gains STC in Cessna 441

Autopilot maker Meggitt/S-Tec has obtained an STC for installations of its new Magic 2100 digital flight-control system in the Cessna 441. The company’s first all-new autopilot since Meggitt acquired S-Tec two and a half years ago, the Magic 2100 DFCS is a three-axis system. Targeted to operators of aging turboprops, the $65,900 package consists of the autopilot, four servos, solid-state air-data attitude heading reference system and all harnesses and switches. This is the second STC for the Magic 2100. The first, awarded last August, was for the Twin Commander series.
