New Livermore FBO meets resistance from local residents

The Livermore Airport Citizens Group has raised an alarm about a consultant’s report on the building of a new FBO and hangars at Livermore Airport near the San Francisco Bay Area. The group opposes the development of the new FBO on the grounds that it will lead to the airport’s becoming a “high growth jetport with increased traffic and noise.” The consultant’s study concluded that demand at Livermore will grow and that “noise will likely increase to some extent without the FBO–potentially more with the FBO. However, there is no analysis to identify the extent of noise impacts in the future.” Million Air Monterey, a division of Del Monte Aviation, won the request for proposal to build the new FBO at Livermore.
