Standard Aero transforms PT6A engine line

Standard Aero has completed a $1.6 million transformation to improve Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine workflow at its MRO facility in Winnipeg, Canada.

According to the company, the trans-formation will increase engine overhaul capacity and efficiency for faster turn times. The new shop design will also increase the overhauled and serviceable material content used during the engine overhaul process. The company anticipates a 30-percent increase in PT6A engine overhaul capacity without adding more floor space or equipment.
