Hawker Beechcraft announced on Friday that it is selling its wholly owned fuel and line operations to Signature parent BBA Aviation for $128.5 million. The deal includes FBOs at seven domestic locations in Atlanta; Houston and San Antonio; Indianapolis; Tampa, Fla.; Van Nuys, Calif.; and Wichita, Kan. Hawker Beech will however retain its factory-owned maintenance and customer support facilities at these locations. “The sale of the fuel and line operations will allow us to build on our core business strategy of investing in our Hawker Beechcraft-owned service center network. Our goal is to have absolutely the best company-owned service centers in the industry,” said Hawker Beechcraft president Jim Schuster. Subject to customary conditions, the parties expect the sale to close in May.
