Content Body

Montreal-based CMC Electronics has delivered the first complete enhanced vision system (EVS) to Bombardier for flight testing aboard the Global Express. CMC’s SureSight I-series EVS infrared sensor will be integrated with a Thales Avionics HUD. The system will be installed as standard equipment on the Global Express and offered as an option on the Global 5000. CMC has developed the SureSight I-series sensor to increase flight crew situational awareness by allowing them to see through fog, haze and rain, day or night. CMC’s EVS infrared sensor is capable of providing an image overlaid on a HUD, cockpit MFD or both. Trials of the system in the Global Express will continue through the fall and winter.
