Hawker Beechcraft expands worldwide presence

London-based Allaero has been appointed an authorized parts distributor for Rapid Aircraft Parts Inventory and Distribution (Rapid), Hawker Beechcraft’s factory-direct source for aircraft parts. Allaero will distribute parts for the Hawker 125 series and 400XP from its new 10,500-sq-ft facility situated to serve London Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

The company has also selected Hong Kong-based Avion Logistics as an authorized parts distributor for Rapid for all Hawker Beechcraft models. Avion Logistics’ newly refurbished 7,500-sq-ft facility near Hong Kong International Airport will bolster Rapid’s parts distribution across the Asia-Pacific market.

Meanwhile in the U.S., Hawker Beech has announced a planned $14 million investment at its Indianapolis Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) aircraft maintenance and service facility at Indianapolis International Airport. The growth includes a maintenance center.

The investment will fund the construction of HBS facilities near the current Pierson Drive location, including a 6,500-sq-ft terminal and a 40,000-sq-ft service hangar with 20,000 sq ft of back shops and administrative offices. The hangar will serve as a factory service center for the company’s entire aircraft line.
