Red River turbines builds T-9 milspec test cell

Turbine engine overhauler Red River Turbines has built the world’s first commercial T-9 military spec depot-level engine test cell.

The $1.6 million test cell is located next to RRT’s main overhaul facility on North Texas Regional Airport at Perrin Field, located in Sherman, Texas. Standing nearly four stories tall, the 66,000-cu-ft tower is designed to test civilian and military engines with a maximum of 10,000 pounds of thrust, with provisions to expand the facility to accept engines up to 40,000 pounds of thrust.
