AirCell Selected by Raytheon, Flight Options

AirCell’s AGT.02 airborne cellular telecommunications system has been certified for use on the Beech Premier I. The AirCell option provides Premier I customers with full-time telephone, fax, e-mail and Internet access capabilities to and from the aircraft. The system will be available as a factory option by year-end. In other news, AirCell’s new ST 3100 Iridium-based satcom system was selected by Flight Options to provide worldwide flight crew and passenger telecommunication capabilities for its shareowner’s aircraft. The initial order is for 50 systems. Flight Options has already installed the AirCell ST 3100 in two Challenger 601s. The remaining systems will be installed during the next 12 months.
