Cessna responds to Encore pressurization problem

In response to a problem of water freezing inside the Citation Encore’s emergency pressurization valve, Cessna next month will issue a Service Bulletin (SB 560-21-19) requiring a relocation of the valve. According to a Cessna spokeswoman, the problem affects all 71 Encores delivered as of the third quarter this year. She said the valve relocation has already been performed on seven NetJets Citation Encores and all were returned to the fractional-ownership operator. The aircraft’s warranty covers the costs and the work may be done at any Citation Service Center.
