Content Body

London City Airport (LCY) has decided to go it alone with the development of a new business aviation facility, having failed to reach agreement with any of the 10 or so FBOs known to have bid for a contract. In a statement, privately owned LCY said that it intends to open the Jet Centre early next year. In 1999 there were about 2,500 business aircraft movements and around 7,000 annually are expected by 2010. Signature has been providing handling at the airport for several years and this contract will come to an end on December 1, leaving LCY to take full responsibility for executive handling.
