Runway incursions down significantly

The number of runway incursions in the first two months of this year dropped more than 50 percent compared with the same period last year, according to the FAA. Agency statistics show that in January and February there were 31 incursions (14 and 17, respectively) vs 57 (24 and 33, respectively) in the first two months of last year. The figures also show that incursions were down all four categories: pedestrian, vehicular, aircraft/ATC operational error/deviation and misc ellaneous.
