Content Body

Five trade organizations jointly submitted recommended security regulations for general aviation operations to the DOT and FAA for implementation “expeditiously.” The recommendations from AOPA, NBAA, Experimental Aircraft Association, Helicopter Association International and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association focus on four areas–aircraft security, passenger authentication, pilot identity and airport operations and facilities. The recommendations can be found on each of the organizations’ Web sites. Earlier, the National Air Transportation Association issued its own recommendations addressing its FBO members and their customers.
