Maintenance News: Spectra Jet gets FAA approval for Challengers

For the past eight years Spectra Jet has focused its certified repair station exclusively on Learjets. The recent completion of a new 18,000-sq-ft hangar on Springfield Beckley Municipal Airport allowed the company to expand its capacity.

“We’ve now added limited ratings for Challenger 300 and 600-series airframes
to our repair station certificate and are in the process of adding the appropriate powerplant ratings for each,” said John Yegerlehner, owner and chief inspector. The company will also add a $3 million, 22,500-sq-ft hangar next year.
