Rotorcraft Update: Alerts recorder wins award

The Alerts (aircraft logging and event recording for training and safety) system developed by Appareo Systems and the Bristow Group received the American Helicopter Society’s Harry T. Jensen Award at the AHS Forum 64 conference in Montreal last month. The award recognizes “an outstanding contribution to the improvement of helicopter reliability, maintainability, safety or logistics support through improved design or technical achievement.” Alerts combines flight data recording and monitoring with 3-D flight recreation as well as flight tracking and analysis.
