Agusta Aerospace Corp. (Booth No. 4785), the U.S. branch of AgustaWestland, announced at NBAA the delivery of the first Agusta A109 Power Elite in the U.S., to Fisher Scientific Corp. of Portsmouth, N.H., last month. The newest in the A109 series, the Elite comes standard with four-tube EFIS, weather radar, KDM moving-map display and auxiliary fuel tanks. A special damper from the main transmission to the forward airframe that isolates the cabin from the rotor system reduces both overall aircraft vibrations and noise in the cabin. Agusta Aerospace completed the interior of the helicopter at its center in Philadelphia. Fisher Scientific has owned and operated five previous A109s since 1977.
