TSA expands DCA approved list

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has added Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, N.Y., and FBO ExcelAire to its list of approved airports/facilities that can originate flights to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Va. The flights are conducted under the TSA’s DCA access standard security program (DASSP), which specifies that an armed security officer be carried on each flight, that all passengers and crew undergo security checks and other strict requirements. There are now 23 airports authorized (some with more than one approved FBO) for DASSP flights.
