The UFH, the French helicopter association, is studying how to relaunch scheduled flights among Paris heliport, a helipad in La Défense business district and Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. The idea is to prove the viability of such a service.
According to Olivier Jouis, UFH executive director, the greater availability of
IFR-equipped helicopters and the possible relaxation of helicopter routing over the western outskirts of Paris will facilitate the relaunch of such services.
All security checks would be done before passengers board the helicopter. An initial pricing estimate in the ?300-?500 ($450-$800) range has to be refined, and stiff landing fees at Charles de Gaulle will need to be factored into the pricing equation.
