Custom cupholderes launches luxury line

Custom Cupholders of North East, Md., has introduced a new line of cupholders designed specifically for the luxury market, including business aircraft. According to company president Jim Moffett, the lowly cupholder should reflect the same elegance found in the rest of the cabin. Moffett said Custom Cupholders can provide the unfinished satin aluminum for plating by the OEM. Or the company can do the plating in-house, including such details as faux finish work. The new line includes a number of variations, including a wedge-shaped design to fit a coffee mug with handle, another with a lighted rim to make the cupholder easier to find in a darkened cabin, and the addition of a thermal-electric unit to heat or cool the holder.
