M7 and San Antonio Aircraft Support Open Mod Center

M7 Aerospace and San Antonio Aircraft Support (SAAS) have launched a major modification center combining M7’s maintenance and engineering expertise with SAAS’s interior fabrication specialty. Under the venture, SAAS, which is located off-airport in San Antonio will design and manufacture interior components and furnishings, including cabinet design, woodworking and upholstery, burn testing, carpets and headliners, paint and machining of hardware and sheetmetal. M7, based in a 426,000-sq-ft facility at San Antonio International Airport, will install and obtain necessary supplemental type certificates for the interior modifications. The companies will work on regional jets and turboprops, business jets and turboprops and helicopters manufactured by AgustaWestland, Bell, MD Helicopters and Sikorsky. M7 will also offer avionics upgrades and will be the prime contractor for M7-SAAS projects. SAAS has done completions on head-of-state Boeing 747s and Airbuses. M7’s engineering department has extensive experience with FAA certification and aircraft modification programs.
