Content Body

The FAA early last month published a new notam requiring N-registered aircraft with an mtow of more than 100,309 pounds to obtain an operational waiver from the Transportation Security Administration to enter or overfly U.S. territorial airspace regardless of the point of origin of the flight, effective October 6.

Operators of U.S.-registered aircraft that weigh 100,309 pounds or less may still operate to or from or over the territorial airspace of the U.S. without a waiver as long as they meet the conditions specified in the notam.
