In The Works: Gulfstream G250

Gulfstream officially launched the new super-midsize G250 at the NBAA Convention. The $24 million G250 will succeed the G200 when it enters service in 2011. Major features include a new-design transonic wing, 7,445-pound-thrust Honeywell HTF7250G engines, heated leading-edge anti-ice system instead of de-icing boots on the G200, eight-inch longer cabin interior, enlarged baggage compartment, brake-by-wire and auto-braking system and PlaneView250 cockpit (Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion platform). Gulfstream has been working on the G250 for three years and has completed all wind-tunnel testing. The G250 is slated to fly in the second half of next year.
