Two new maintenance facilities have joined the Crownair Aviation portfolio: RoigWest Maintenance, a turbine aircraft maintenance service and support center at Van Nuys Airport, and West Coast Jet Services at McClellan Palomar Airport (CRQ), which will now be known as Crownair Aviation-CRQ.
Crownair Aviation began in 1951 on Montgomery Field, San Diego, Calif., and grew in 2007 with the acquisition of IFR Avionics, an international leader in avionics engineering and custom aircraft outfitting based at Van Nuys Airport. The newest acquisitions are part of a master plan to establish a greater presence in the U.S. Southwest, according to the company. Plans are already in the works to expand to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona by 2010.
