Content Body

By April 30, certified airports must submit revised snow- and ice-control plans to the FAA. To help with developing the plans, the FAA released a new version of its Airport Winter Safety and Operations Advisory Circular, AC 150/5200-30C (available at www.faa.gov). In addition to guidance on how to develop the plan, the AC now includes advice on “winter-related conditions that initiate a requirement for a runway closure.” While certified airports must comply with the AC, noncertified airports can use the AC as advisory material.
