Hot Section: BBA Aviation expands R-R 250 service to Dallas

BBA Aviation’s Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive is adding Rolls-Royce Model 250 services at its Dallas Love Field Regional Turbine Center (RTC).

“We are expanding our helicopter services footprint,” said Hugh McElroy, president of BBA Aviation ERO. “The Southwestern U.S. is active with helicopter operations and is demanding greater focus than our 40 years of expertise on the Model 250 can bring. The DFW area has been chosen for the RTC base due to its central location combined with a high level of local activity. We’ll be adding other helicopter engines to our DFW offerings in the near future, but the 250 was the logical place to start.”

Located in Hangar C on Dallas Love Field (DAL), the company offers R-R 250 overhaul, repair and exchange including modules, accessories and components. The new services at the Love Field RTC will be available in the second quarter.
