Content Body

The FAA has awarded a one-year renewable contract to Abaris Training to train its aviation safety inspectors in advanced composite maintenance and repair. The course, “Composite Awareness for the Aviation Safety Inspector,” reflects the growing use of composite materials in interior panels, control surfaces, wings and fuselages. Inspectors will learn basic principles of advanced composite structures to help them determine the reliability of major composite repairs in the field. Classes for the more than 190 students in the program began last month and will continue through the end of the year.
