Precision Turbines & Avatas offer alternative PT6A overhaul

Precision Turbines has entered into an agreement with Avatas Aerospace enabling Precision Turbines to offer customers a complete array of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the PT6A.

“This is in line with our growth plans as we continually strive to seek new avenues to broaden our reach and increase revenue and market share,” said Joe Kolo, Precision’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We see a large under-served segment of the market when it comes to providing effective and efficient service to the vast PT6A turboprop engine lineup in both military and civil applications.” More than 60 versions of the engine power an estimated 13,500 aircraft.
