StandardAero’s Springfield Facility Gets ODA

StandardAero’s Springfield, Ill. facility has received supplemental type certificate (STC)
organization designation authorization (ODA) from the FAA.

The designation allows StandardAero to approve design data, tests and analysis, and make a finding of compliance with FAA regulations, allowing the facility to sign an STC on behalf of the FAA for aircraft alterations and modifications. These include complete interiors, engine retrofits, airframe modifications, cabin entertainment systems and avionics upgrades.

The FAA authorization allows StandardAero to reduce STC certification times “considerably,” said a spokesman.
