Comtran Wins EASA Approval for 328Jet

Comtran International, an independent interior refurbishment center based at Horseshoe Bay Resort Airport, Texas, has won European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for its Dornier 328Jet executive conversion.

Comtran earlier received FAA certification for conversion of the regional jet to an executive transport. The aircraft, which Comtran refers to as the Revolution Series, offers a max range of about 1,500 nm without auxiliary fuel tanks. Comtran says it has an operating cost roughly equivalent to that of a Learjet 60; a stand-up, flat-floor cabin that is the equivalent of a Falcon 900’s in volume; and 227 cu ft of baggage capacity, about triple that of a G550. The completed price is in the $9 million range.
