The King Air 350i, announced at last year’s NBAA Convention, is due to receive FAA certification shortly. An upgrade to the King Air 350, the 350i will be the first new turboprop available with the Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management system, according to Hawker Beechcraft, offering passengers support for a variety of personal entertainment devices such as mp3 and DVD players, gaming consoles, laptop computers, data-storage devices and future HDMI devices. In addition to a 15.3-inch swing-out monitor in the forward entertainment cabinet, each seat can be equipped with high-definition displays. Passengers control the entertainment system using programmable switch panels at each seat.

The 350i’s new FlexCabin interior makes it easy for operators to reconfigure the aft seating area to suit the mission. Passengers should notice a new level of quiet in the 350i cabin, thanks to a multi-step noise-reduction process that lowers noise levels by four dBA, says Hawker Beechcraft. ˮ
