Zenda Leather of Uruguay (Booth No. 2862) has reached a merger agreement with Marfrig Group, the fourth largest meat packer in the world. “Both companies aim to improve their competitiveness, Marfrig being a supplier of raw material to Zenda,” said Juan Diego Casaretto, Zenda managing director for North America. Zenda has long been a preferred vendor to a number of furniture and automobile manufacturers and in the last several years has entered the aircraft-interiors market. With the agreement, Zenda gains greater control over the production process, from raw hide to finished product. The company provides metal-free leather and has also developed its own EZClean anti-soiling and leather-care products.
