A new 62,000-sq-ft facility has been dedicated on Huntsville International Airport, Ala., by WestWind Technologies to provide engineering, manufacturing, electronics integration and structural modifications.
According to a spokesman for the company, the Huntsville Aircraft Modification and Integration Center–located near the U.S. Army’s Redstone Arsenal–is designed to accommodate military and civilian helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft as large as the C-130.
“This is the first time Huntsville International Airport has partnered with a small business,” he said. The WestWind Technologies Part 145 complex encompasses 260,000 sq ft and offers maintenance, repair and overhaul for numerous military and commercial aircraft.
