Mac Dan FBO Closed at Essex County Airport

Mac Dan Aviation, one of two FBOs at Essex County Airport in northern New Jersey, closed its doors in September. The company stopped providing fuel services and sold all of its equipment, a source told AIN. Mac Dan operated the FBO, as well as an aircraft sales division, charter operation and flight school. The airport’s remaining FBO, one of three facilities operated by Avantair, has added more personnel to help serve former Mac Dan customers. According to a person who answered the Mac Dan telephone and declined to identify himself, Mac Dan has been sold and will reopen soon. He said he could not identify the new owners.
