Honeywell Chooses Alto for Ovation Select

Alto Aviation has been selected by Honeywell to supply the sound system components for its new Ovation Select, the cabin management system Embraer picked for its
new Legacy 450 and 500. The new digital amplifier from the Leominster, Mass.-based sound specialist was co-developed with Honeywell to be seamlessly integrated into Ovation Select, making the most of Alto’s acoustic modeling software. The Alto package provides a lightweight audio package consisting of four mid/high enclosures, two subwoofers and a customized EQ/digital amplifier. The system, said Alto president Don Hamilton, will turn the new Legacy cabins “into a virtual concert hall at 40,000 feet."
