Hot section: 328 support services gets FAA repair station approval

Munich, Germany-based 328 Support Services has received FAA repair station status for its Dornier 328 executive conversion work. The company is the type certificate holder for the Dornier 328 and is a registered production, customer support, engineering and third-party maintenance organization with headquarters at Oberpfaffenhofen Airfield.

328 Support Services is currently completing its first executive conversion for Aviando Services of Miami. It is scheduled for delivery early this year. Dave Jackson, 328 Support Services chief executive, said, “This approval will enable us to expand into the U.S. market and offer VIP conversions on the type.” The conversion includes a noise-reduction kit, a full HD in-flight entertainment system, satellite communication system (including on-board Internet access), increased cabin space and electric window blinds. The MRO specializes in Dornier 328 maintenance and refurbishment.
