Twin Commander Aircraft completed its relocation from Arlington, Wash., to Creedmoor, N.C. The company moved to capitalize on North Carolina’s increasing status as an eastern hub for aerospace manufacturing activity. Twin Commander Aircraft was acquired by Firstmark, and Creedmoor (located approximately 20 miles north of Raleigh) is the site of Firstmark’s 70,000-sq-ft operations center, according to Twin Commander president Matt Isley. The move was conducted in stages last summer to systematically transport tons of tooling, parts and equipment by truck and rail. “Our planning objective was to provide uninterrupted service to our customers during the move and I’m pleased to report that we have achieved that goal,” he said. Isley said the move comes with “renewed commitment” to support Twin Commander owners and operators “with only the very best in components and technical services for their aircraft. We also will maintain our policy of aggressively providing owners with the information, technical expertise, modifications and upgrades that ensure they have full and complete confidence in the safety and reliability of their aircraft.”
