Hot section: New ATR support center added in Kuala Lumpur

ATR has opened a logistics support center in Kuala Lumpur. The new facility is available to operators in the Asia-Pacific region that have signed a global maintenance agreement (GMA). The center, located in the free-trade zone of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, will offer ready access to the wide array of equipment specified in the GMA’s guarantee. Logistics company DHL Supply Chain is managing the center for ATR.

ATR maintains training centers in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, and the manufacturer has four other logistic support centers in Paris, Miami, Auckland and (also providing a customer support center) Singapore. According to a company spokesman, in the past four years ATR has sold more than 70 aircraft in Southeast Asia and currently supports 23 operators in the region.
