TAC Air chooses FlightAware FBO Toolbox

FBO chain Tac Air has added Flight-Aware’s FBO ToolBox at its 13 FBOs in the U.S. The ToolBox enables FBOs to enhance FlightAware aircraft tracking information with fuel uplift calculations and historical visitor counters, according to FlightAware, to aid an FBO’s marketing efforts. The ToolBox also employs Amstat’s aircraft ownership/operator data, which provides FBOs with up-to-date contact information. The new fuel uplift calculator shows how much a fuel a customer aircraft has burned during the flight to the airport and estimates the fuel required for the next leg of the trip, thus giving the FBO the opportunity to sell more fuel to the customer. The ToolBox shows historical data on arriving aircraft, including whether they are stopping at area airports instead of the FBO’s airport. FlightAware recently added Nexrad weather overlays to its flight planning service.
