Eurocopter is offering continuing airworthiness management under the EASA’s Part M rules. The manufacturer can thus provide airworthiness maintenance on behalf of operators, for their in-service aircraft.
In a newsletter to oil and gas operators, the company pointed out that operators can now outsource tasks they once had to perform themselves. Moreover, Eurocopter asserted it has “more clout with civil aviation authorities.” It can also perform airworthiness review inspections to renew airworthiness certificates.
Previously, these reviews were performed only by national civil aviation authorities. The continuing airworthiness management organization can also provide consulting services to help operators optimize maintenance costs.
