Learjet 60 AD Addresses Tire-pressure Checks

A new Airworthiness Directive targeting Learjet 60 tires requires revising the tire-servicing section of the airplane maintenance manual and the tires limitation section of the airplane flight manual. It calls for servicing tires and checking for proper tire inflation and is based on a report of main landing-gear tires blowing out during takeoff roll. The AD aims to prevent tire failure, which could result in failures of the braking and thrust reverser systems, which could in turn cause loss of aircraft control during takeoff.
