Content Body

San Carlos, Calif.-based charter operator XOJet is installing Aircell high-speed Internet equipment on its entire fleet of Bombardier Challenger 300s and Cessna Citation Xs. The company says the equipment will be available on all its airplanes by the end of this month, making XOJet the first business aviation fleet operator to offer wireless service on all its U.S. flights. According to the company, passengers will be able to use their laptops and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices in flight to browse Web sites, send and receive e-mail with attachments, access corporate VPNs, download music and more. Aircell charges business aviation customers $1,995 a month for unlimited access to the service, with lower tier pricing plans starting at $895 and $395 a month based on the amount of data used.
