Avidyne Intros New TAS Alerters

Avidyne last month introduced two TSO C147-certified traffic advisory systems, the TAS605 and TAS615, to fill out its line of TAS products, which also includes the TAS600 and TAS620. With the announcement Avidyne also said it is dropping the price of the TAS600, introduced in 2005, to $8,490. The TAS605 carries a list price of $10,990, while the TAS615 is priced at $14,990. Differences between the products’ capabilities are range (traffic surveillance to 13 nm versus 17 nm) and relative range (+/-5,500 feet versus +/-10,000 feet).
