Cessna 560XL Excel, White Plains, N.Y., May 28, 2010–The twinjet, operated by NetJets, sustained minor damage when the main cabin door opened shortly after takeoff from Westchester County Airport. After the door seal/cabin door annunciator light illuminated, the crew returned to the airport and the door opened on the downwind leg of the traffic pattern, prompting the crew to declare an emergency. The Excel landed uneventfully, with no injuries reported by the two-person crew or two passengers.
