The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority board of trustees chose Million Air as the winner of a request for proposal to build a new FBO at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and now the negotiation process for the lease of the property is under way. “We have been advanced to the final stages of lease negotiations,” said a Million Air spokeswoman. “We’re excited about it.” Assuming the lease is signed, Million Air will start FBO operations right away while building a new facility. Phase one of the planned new FBO, according to the airport authority, is a $10 million facility that would open in 2012. This would be followed by a second $10 million phase to be completed by 2017.
“Million Air is looking forward to building a strong partnership in Reno while making that important first and last impression on customers as they come and go from the region,” said Roger Woolsey, Million Air CEO. “We look forward to serving all facets of the aviation community and setting a standard for service in a region where hospitality is part of the culture.”
