Million Air negotiating for Reno FBO lease

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority board of trustees chose Million Air as the winner of a request for ­proposal to build a new FBO at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and now the negotiation ­process for the lease of the property is under way. “We have been advanced to the final stages of lease negotiations,” said a Million Air spokeswoman. “We’re excited about it.” Assuming the lease is signed, Million Air will start FBO ­operations right away while building a new ­facility. Phase one of the planned new FBO, ­according to the airport authority, is a $10 ­million facility that would open in 2012. This would be followed by a ­second $10 ­million phase to be completed by 2017.
