Goodrich Digesting DeCrane Acquisition

With completion of its acquisition of most of the former DeCrane Aerospace assets, Goodrich of Charlotte, N.C., showcased its expanded completion and refurbishment capability at the NBAA Convention in October. The products on display were part of the Goodrich Cabin Systems division and included the Platinum high-definition, digital Ethernet-based cabin management system; a wide-screen, high-definition monitor line with 1080p resolution; and iPad and iPod touch integration apps for control of the cabin management and entertainment systems. The acquisition has expanded Goodrich’s payroll by some 850 people employed at six facilities located throughout the U.S. The primary products include aircraft seats, molded composites, custom cabinetry, custom veneers and furniture, cabin management systems and in-flight entertainment packages.
