Hawker Beechcraft’s new Hawker 200, unveiled at the NBAA Convention in October, is a makeover of the Beech Premier II with an extensive cabin upgrade.
Taking into account the average passenger load of about 2.5 to 3 people per flight, Hawker’s designers created a luxurious interior that would seat four in spacious comfort, yet still allow the option of a high-density configuration.
The standard layout has four seats facing forward. The airplane is certified for single-pilot flight and the right cockpit seat can accommodate a fifth passenger. A sixth and seventh passenger can be accommodated with a side-facing seat aft and a belted lavatory seat. Another seat can be installed in place of the galley, leaving a smallerrefreshment center but increasing the max passenger load to eight.
Both the redesigned galley and redesigned lavatory make more efficient use of the same floor area.
High-definition audio/video and a high-speed Internet package are expected to be offered as optional items.
According to v-p of completions Vince Restivo, one reason Hawker Beechcraft brought the cabin mockup to the NBAA Convention was to generate still more customer feedback that will shape the final configuration.
